The
Mothers’ Union (MU) promised a warm welcome at their stand at the
Royal Lancashire Show this year – and that is certainly what we got.
The
day turned out to be baking hot, after a very rainy start.
We
arrived at the MU stand, Mother, three children and Nana. Baby crying for her feed, Charlie was hot and bothered,
Thomas raring to go and Nana just wanting to sit down. Drinks and biscuits were immediately brought to us.
The boys played with the many toys, Mum fed and changed baby and
Nana beamed and felt proud to belong to this wonderful organisation.
There
was a great selection of cards and gifts on sale, a balloon race to enter
and a “goodie bag” to take with us when we left.
We
came back again for lunch and later still for afternoon tea! The
Show itself had something for everyone and we all had a thoroughly
enjoyable day
