Indoor Members Prayer Circle

As in other deaneries in Blackburn Diocese we have an Indoor Members Circle to keep in touch with members no longer able to attend meetings.

Among other things,  each year we hold an afternoon event for them and other members who are 80yrs or over.  The members who are able love to come along to meet up with old friends and enjoy the fellowship.  Other members provide transport for them.

This year we held our party in St. Silas's hall in Blackburn, when a good number of members came along to enjoy first a Holy Communion Service with hymns, followed by a lovely afternoon tea, enjoyed by all.  The Mayoress of Blackburn was there and went around chatting to the ladies, which they appreciated.

A lovely afternoon was enjoyed by all.

A new branch of the Mothers' Union has been opened at Immanuel Church, Feniscowles. Six ladies were admitted during the Sunday Eucharist and on the following Tuesday, thirteen ladies arrived for the first meeting and a talk about the Mothers' union and Mary Sumner House.

The New enrolling member, Mrs Penny Davison and the members are all enthusiastic and are busy planning their programme.
