Gift Aid
Following new legislation introduced four years ago, Charities are now able to reclaim tax on any donation from a UK taxpayer, made since April 6th 2000.

No matter how large or small the donation was, whether it was a one off or regular donation, or what the method of payment was, the Mothers’ Union will be able to claim the tax back on the amount donated.

This means a 28% increase on the original value of the donation. Thus, for example, if you donate £100 and allow us to reclaim the tax, the donation will be worth £128.

If you are a UK taxpayer and would like to increase your donation by 28%, then please fill in this form and return to your local branch.

Thank you to members for signing Gift Aid Declarations and to branches for returning their Summaries of Gift Aided Subscriptions/Donations.

A Gift Aid Declaration can be completed at any time and claims made for previous years, provided that the member was a taxpayer for those years.
